Chameleon
Spring is already emphatically present and the summer holidays are not that far away. It is therefore high time to update our JOTA-JOTI-minded audience about the state of affairs regarding the articles that we as Service Kring JOTA-JOTI prepare annually to provide technical support for the JOTA-JOTI and that can introduce the youth to the technology.
We are releasing a name band for our uniforms again.This year's name band has a green background color with gray letters. and it features the theme of this year's JOTA-joti: DIGITAL PHYSICAL.
Then we also have a badge with the same theme on it. On the website of Scouting Netherlands you will find everything about the theme
If you light up the badge and then view the badge in the dark, you will see another Glow in ther Dark effect
We now have the name tags and badges in stock and sales have started. The soldering project will also go on sale soon.
The soldering project for this year is not quite finished yet, but I can already reveal a tip of the veil.

The soldering project kit is called the Chameleon, in English. Naturally, colors are involved, which explains the name.
The Chameleon is interactive again: You can vary the colors of the Chameleon's LED by pressing a button. Additionally, it is possible to activate a motion sensor, causing the Chameleon's color to change in response to movement. The PCB can be worn on clothing, so the components can be mounted using semi-surface mounting, but it is also possible to build the PCB using traditional methods. Furthermore, the Chameleon has a few contact points for connecting external switches for color change. These points, as well as the motion sensor, offer possibilities for games.
