JOTA-JOTI is now fast approaching, and then the moment is coming when we can deliver just before the JOTA-JOTI. That deadline is coming soon. The last day that you can still order and pay for which we will ship for the JOTA-JOTI is Wednesday the 9th of October. Yes, If you want to be sure that your kits, namebands and badges arrive on time, you have to order earlier.  You can also order later, but then we will only deliver AFTER the JOTA-JOTI. We are going to pack our own stuff after the 9th to be ready at our JOTA station with our groups. Be there on time and we wish you all a great JOTA-JOTI with fun QSOs and fun technical programs

The Theme of the upcoming JOTA-JOTI is “Frequently Green”

  • Obviously it is a hint at the use of different frequencies used during the JOTA and the JOTI.
  • Furthermore, it has a background in sustainability.
  • Above all, let's try to think and act greener more and more often. A better environment starts with yourself.

  1.  The first article supporting this theme is the Name Band 2024: The colors are light green with dark green letters.

  1. The 2nd article that conveys the theme is the badge:  The badge bears signs of the many community possibilities that we can use with JOTA-JOTI. There are also signs of Green, sustainable, recycling, and many forms of frequencies.Badge2024E

 

  1. This year's kit will be a real campfire. The construction kit consists of 2 printed circuit boards in 3D setup. Only a small number of components are required, so that construction time can be limited. In addition to a small button cell as power supply, this campfire can also be stoked by connecting it to a USB port

This year we are coming up with a kit for your own safe, but also quite green campfire: the Campfire XS! The XS stands for Extra Safe and Extra Small! Two cheerfully flashing LEDs give the campfire a funny effect. You can keep the electronic fire burning with a flat button cell battery (maybe not so green...) but you can also give that old USB power bank a second life and let the fire burn with it. If you are going to make these kits with your nest, patrol or group, you can connect them all together and make a larger fire. For the creative ones, the kit also has a few test points that can be used for all kinds of experiments and games.

 

We are working hard behind the scenes to get the kits ready in time for the JOTA-JOTI, but we didn't want to deprive you of this sneak peek.

In addition to the articles for the JOTA-JOTI 2024, we have also added a few articles that are not specific to this year but have a more timeless character.

 For example, we now have the flag with the RADIO SCOUTING logo available in the webshop. In consultation with WOSM, we have permission to offer this product in our webshop. The flag is 135 x 90 cm and has a loop at the top corner and at the bottom corner.

Also in consultation with the WOSM, of course. This badge is 70mm in diameter and this badge can be used by groups as a reward if members have successfully completed all parts of the JOTA-JOTI and with this badge they have a beautiful memory that is timeless.
