Electronic kits

All published electronic kit’s on this webpage are designed and produced by Werkgroep Radio Scouting of Scouting Netherlands. The kit’s are delivered complete with a professional quality printed circuit board (PCB) and all electronic parts. (except for the standard 9V battery). Most kit’s can be switched on/off using a safety pin at the back of the PCB. This pin makes it also possible to wear the PCB on a uniform.

Warp Speed

Warp Speed Electronic kit

This years project is based on our ‘Star Trek” theme. Flying through space is Starship Enterprise waiting to enter new adventures. Without any sound the spaceship goes to places “no man has gone before”. Suddenly they receive a distress signal from deep space. Captain Picard orders his crew to “Warpspeed” to the received signal.

You can build this “Warp Speed” badge with 4 very bright LED’s. That will fade out and in to show you true warpspeed. This short film shows you the working of this kit.

Programable 'running-light'

Programable. Running-Light electronic kit

This small kit can be programmed in your own pattern. At the start all LED’s are off. By pushing the PROG button you can program one LED to light up. It will move from right to left in a constant speed that you can adjust yourself. If you press the PROG button ones again, a second LED will light up and will follow the first LED at the same speed. You can repeat this process a couple of times until all LED’s light up. If you want to reset the program, just press the RESET button and you can start again with programming your electronic kit.
